What I did is having something like this for each column: A Minimun width, a Maximun with and the starting percentage (of the total width of the grid), then in the resize I adjust the width of each columns according to those values, is not perfect for every gird, and I barely use this, just in a couple of grids. You must also take into account that if the user manually adjusts one column's width, then you need to adjust those properties accordingly
