I believe there have been a number of surveys over the years that indicate a large majority of Americans do believe in God. Unfortunately, that seems to put those that do not believe in a God in the "fringe," or dare I say, "not normal" - I only use that term because you seem to think it is "normal" to not believe in a God. As for the "weak-minded" term you continue to use, I think most Christians you have run into must have been shallow in their belief and thus have not really matured spiritually. To me, that wouldn't be surprising. In fact, that's my anecdotal opinion in general. I base that opinion on the fact that, in a typical church, only a small percentage of the people do most of the work - that, along with my personal observation of the types of questions and answers going back and forth in Sunday School from week to week. That said, I still consider myself having a long way to go spiritually, but I work on it as time passes.
