We use the dbi-tech scheduler activeX. It works good in VFP, the only issue I have with it is that the mouse can disappear until the user clicks someone to restore it. Very minor problem we overcome with training the user.

You do have to have a table setup to store the data, and then determine when you going to load the data into the schedule control. I believe they have a complete staff scheduling solution that has code and activeX control that you can buy, modify and use. Once you figure out the control (they have basic examples forms in VFP for learning) it is easy to work with and doesn't crash the workstations (I have tried others that do).
