Alejandro,
I have absolutely no desire to outfox Ken and / or redist.txt and run into MS´s legal department. Personally I don´t have ANY need for the Fox runtimes to be online and freely available.

What I´ve been trying to pitch and where I wanted to support you is:

I´d regard it as a very smart move to throw the Fox RT at just everybody "to make it ubiquitous"! (quoting your orig message)

In Austria here´s a joke: What´s the worst you can do to a farmer? - Give more freebees to him than he can carry.

And that´s exactly my point for VFP marketing, just analoguous to .Net, the CLR and SQL Server Express.

Ken: "The way VFP runtime files are included and distributed has been the same for over a decade and will probably remain the same for the next decade."

That´s another way to see it. I spare myself any analogies there.
All everybody wants here is best possible Fox market penetration and visibility and I like a lot what I´ve seen recently and that Ken is our spearhead. He doesn´t seem to be ready for a paradigm shift though.

I can live with that, cuz I know I had such situations with Walt Kennamer and Susan Graham way back at the beginning of the nineties.
Just two weeks ago I had a deja vu with my requested implementation change of dynamic properties in the VFP9 report gem.
It took half a year from 'Take another look!' till Ken bragging about the improvement in the C9 video. very broad grin

Maybe we should ask again in a half year´s time when they release SQL and VS.
Wouldn´t it be nice if they shipped the Fox runtime with SQL Server Express? ROFL
Cheers
