I agree with you, but I must also mention that in this case I agree with Howard also. Not on whether homosexual marriages should be legal or not, or whether or not they should be treated any different than any other human being (I believe everyone should be treated equal regardless of race, creed, religion, age, sexual preference, I could go on...) but whether or not the bible mentions homosexualty at all. It is clear in Romans that homosexualty is a crime worthy of death. There is Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis as well. There are quite a few passages where God denounces not homosexuality, but sodomy and any relationship other than the natural relation between a man a woman. My point here is not whether or not it is right, but how the Bible refers to it. I have pointed out some major (in my mind) discrepancies in the Bible in other messages.

>By "fringe" I meean the group of people who thru their interpretation or someone elses that they are willing to follow, they feel the need to force their believes on someone else.

>The fringest of the fringe take it to the extreme and believe they are morally right to kill others because they are "non-believers".

>It is possible to believe in God, as I do, and at the same time not believe that your life is worthless and you are doomed in your afterlife because the way I believe in God is different from the way you believe.

>People who have these types of thoughts are dangerous. Extremely so. How many wars have their been over the years that are directly attributed to people who think like this?

>>>I just hope from these discussions that normal folks around the world can see that there is a certain lunatic fringe in the USA centered around a particular geographic area.
>>>
>>>This does not represent the true thought process of the real American. Only the thought process of the weak minded. Those who must be led because they are fearful of having their own thoughts and feelings.
>>>
>>>These people are extremely dangerous. And I hope that normal people will see what kind of damage these people are willing to create all in the name of their god. I hope it will spur enough people to get up off their butt the next presidential election.

>>I believe there have been a number of surveys over the years that indicate a large majority of Americans do believe in God. Unfortunately, that seems to put those that do not believe in a God in the "fringe," or dare I say, "not normal" - I only use that term because you seem to think it is "normal" to not believe in a God. As for the "weak-minded" term you continue to use, I think most Christians you have run into must have been shallow in their belief and thus have not really matured spiritually. To me, that wouldn't be surprising. In fact, that's my anecdotal opinion in general. I base that opinion on the fact that, in a typical church, only a small percentage of the people do most of the work - that, along with my personal observation of the types of questions and answers going back and forth in Sunday School from week to week. That said, I still consider myself having a long way to go spiritually, but I work on it as time passes.
