Maybe you or someone else can clear this up. Someone told me not long ago that Denny's is Sambo's, renamed. Sambo's changed their name for obvious reasons. (IIRC the first branch, in SoCal somewhere, was allowed to keep the name for a while). I don't think they are the same company but am not sure.
