What I meant was that the upgrade process to install a fully patched version of .NET on an existing workstation is invasive to the point of breaking other, non .NET applications that have dependencies on certain OS files upgraded during the .NET setup.

I expect the new ClickOnce deployment in VS 2005 and .NET Framework 2.0 will help greatly in tbe ease and functionality in deploying .NET applications and dependent components on client desktop machines (including VFP COM based DLLs embedded in those apps if used, as in my last Ch9 video demos).
