>>Ah, but if morality is absolute and doesn't change over time, then murder would wrong since the beginning of time. In that case, what about the taking of lives during Passover? The angel of death killed the first born of every family. Once again, I will add 1 Samuel 15:3 where Saul is instructed to slay both man and women, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and (edited due to content filter).

>God has an absolute right to deal with man however He sees fit. If He wants to take lives at any time, that is His right and He is completely justified for doing this. In other messages I've talked about how man is guilty of sin and deserving of death. Just because God spares the lives of some and not of others does not make him a murderer - but - rather a patient, merciful judge. By the way, don't forget the flood - that was a pretty big loss of life...

Now you've passed the bounds of all sense. In the cited case, innocent children and animals were to be slaughtered. You say "God has an absolute right to deal with man however He sees fit. If He wants to take lives at any time, that is His right and He is completely justified for doing this." So, as He made us in his image, and we're supposed to abide by his tennets, so my daughtrer is well within her rights to torture, maim and kill her pet hamster, because she has dominion over it. Or does God say "Do as I say, not as I do"

Well, come on, God. Set a good example! S & Gemmorah, the Flood, Jerico, the Passover, etc. etc. No wonder so many evils have been done in His name. Then He lays down petty rules like if you dare to have a peek you're turned into a pillar of salt. What's THAT all about? When I was a kid there was this wicked teacher who'd thrash a kid just for talking in the line to the dinner canteen. Now I know where he got his ideas from!
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
