>>If evil didn't exist, how would we know the difference between good and evil?

>Evil is what hurts our existence as persons, societies, civilizations, species.

Yes it is. But evil exist because of the man and his pride. And I know you can say that God made man that way so, He is to blame. We have free will to do good or bad.

>>Or why would we need God if there was no evil?

>Q.E.D. this guy seems to have invented evil just to make himself necessary. Cynical enough?

Like I said, He'll do anything to have His creation back. He is a very selfish and a jealous God, much like your parents were with you when you were still a child. They would have done anything to keep you away from drug dealers and gangs and other bad people.

>>Because of evil in the world many people turn to faith in God for comfort and understanding. So you see, God uses evil so that His creation will turn to Him and seek His "love".

>Who's cynical now? That sounds like selling protection, or any other racketeering scheme.

Yup. But He is God and a very jealous God at that. He'll do anything to have His creation back.

>>In lot of ways God of Abraham is very selfish. He wants a relationship with His creation and would do anything to have his creation back, even to sacrefice His only son, Jesus, to die for the sins of the world.

>And remember that he defined sin. So he's all of legislator, judge, prosecution, jury and firing squad. And he doesn't really want to get the job (whatever it may be) done - what'd he do after that? He wants to stay in business.

Yup. He is God. He hold the ultimate power. Otherwise, He's not much of a God. He would be like the you and me, a mere mortal.

The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.

No man’s life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.
