Hi Denis,

in general, it is possible to specify for a given app what version of the framework is required. It's not that .NET doesn't have the pieces it needs; it's that it hasn't had 20 years to mature, like VFP, and so in many ways it's about as efficient as using Scrimage with @..GET statements (by which I intentionally date myself <s>, because that's about where I see .Net in terms of being an efficient development tool). But the pieces are definitely there.
