Why do this the hard way? Develop the COM component in VFP 9. The rest of the app can stay in 5.0. The migration from 5.0 to 9.0 can be easy to difficult, depending on what features you used that were changed.
>Easier said and than done. We have a HUGE application developed in VFP5, and from what I know (I think) it is not that easy to move from 5 to 8 or 9. The COM+ object would be developed in .NET, and will be accessed by multiple applications but primarily the VFP5 Application.
