>>How did you come accross your book of choice and what makes it the best choice of them?
>
>I was raised in a Christian home and was taught the Bible from an early age. As I grew and realized I had to be sure what I believed I studied the Bible and began to ask questions of those around me (both Christian and non-Christians.)

That answers my first question. During your formative years you were presented one book and told that the book was the true one.

But how about the second part of the question. What specificly did you find when you went asking questions and comparing your book, the Bible, to another's, say the Buddha?

>>And it would be grand if you compared your choice to the choice of using our mind and our >conscience instead of a book to lead us through God's Creation, marveling all the while.
>
>Since my mind and conscience are fallible, I choose to rely on the infallible word of God to lead me.

You also said that your understanding of the Word is fallible, so even if the Bible were the True Word, you are still being lead by your mind and conscience to understand it.
