Hi MIke,

> Does VFP 8 have dependent services, if so what are they?

Not that I know of and we are running VFP applications as services, too. What happens when the machine is rebooted? Does the VFP application start, or does it fail before that? Is there any error message in the event log that would give you any clue?

One typical problem with service applications is that drive mappings are not available to a service, even if you use the same account as for the desktop. The reason behind this is that drive mappings are stored in the profile and are only loaded if a user logs in interactively. Running as a service doesn't load the profile. Maybe the application is trying to access data on a network share and terminates if it can't find the drive.
