As to God's mercy, as I've stated many times already, we are all deserving of eternal punishment. The fact that any of us are allowed to live at all is an act of mercy on God's part. I've also stated that there is some question about what happens to babies when they die. If you accept that they go to Heaven, then you can see that they are much better off there than on the Earth. In any case, I trust in the will of God. Just because I may not understand - does not make Him wrong.
