>4. Sprint phones can be used in the tunnels of the Washington metro, though you have to pay roaming charges. Verizon owns that infrastructure.

For $5 a month you can get on a plan that NEVER charges you when you go into roaming.

>6. They seem to have the cheapest unlimited internet service (assuming that no one screws with the account as they did with yours).

They lie about this. They CLAIM that you get "unlimited internet service"... until you use it a lot - then they call you and tell you that you have to be put on their "data plan" - and the best deal on that they have on that is $80 month.... for 300MB. Beyond that its like 2cents per K.
And...they tell you that you can't use your pocketpc as a modem hooked up to a computer unless you also pay for the stupid data plan. The pocketpc actually comes with the software to do this, but it doesnt work. IF you want to do it, $80 bucks a month on yer bill.
What I'd like to know is how, and if, they sepearte the two. How can they tell if you're using it as a modem, or just using the pcs-vision features of the phone? (such as the built in browser and such....) Mine has a 400mz processor, and I've put an FTP client on it and a bunch of other stuff, so it seems to me that it would run fast enough that they shouldn't be able to tell if it's hooked up to a computer as a modem or not. Anyway I'd like to know if they can tell other than just making assumptions about bandwidth usage or not because I made my own device driver and can use mine as a modem if I want.
