People in Canada without a regional accent often have the accent of a TV anchorperson or a Hollywood actor. Not that it is derived from that, but really it is just a neutral North American accent. Brits that have studied overseas will often acquire one of these accents. I also think of it as the accent that the Queen of England has, but minus the stuffy twinge.
