That's true. When VW introduced the Beetle Convertable, they stopped marketing the Cabrio in North America. Mine is a 1995 version, but it's immaculate. I had my own garage guys go over with a fine tooth comb before I bought it, and in the words of Sam (the garage owner), "That is one nice machine". All I've spent so far on this car is to buy 4 new tires, because it came with 'all but new' Michelin winter tires, and I didn't want to waste them on summer driving.
