I have very little influence on the Novell settings.

Is there a way to fix the problem by changing the VFP code.

If I need to I can force the file to be accessed exclusively.
Is there a way to not have novell use so many locks in VFP code.

t on a local drive (update tables and application) it works, but when I try to execute the same program on the same tables on the network drive it eventually hangs (progrress bar stops and does not change after about 5 to 10 minuites). I table replaces existing values, other tables are log files and data is inserted at the end of the tables. If I look in task list it says application is not responding.
