Well, I wouldn't quite say it THAT way...
I did have doubts at one point and spent many hours reading, discussing things with other believers and eventually was able to overcome those doubts. I think this is something that most beleiver go through. A lot of these doubts are reactions to people like yourself who are able to pose tough questions and make us think a little more about what we believe. Yes, I do believe that you are playing a part in my spiritual growth and probably have caused others to take a closer look at things. In the end, I am better for those doubts and now am unwavering in my belief in Christ and His work on the cross to save my soul.

>>>You also said that your understanding of the Word is fallible, so even if the Bible were the True Word, you are still being lead by your mind and conscience to understand it.

>>When someone decides to ignore outside information and relies solely on his mind and conscience to lead him, that is the sort of issue I meant to address in saying it was a dangerous practice.

>On the contrary, choosing your mind over a book is not like the decision to ignore outside information, but rather the decision to read all books and seek out a broader set of information.
