This entire debate reminds me of a scene from the original MASH movie.

Early in the movie, Hawkeye (Sutherland) and Duke (Skerritt) walk into the swamp, and see Frank Burns (Duvall) on his knees, praying for God to protect General MacArthur and to forgive us of our sins, etc.

Hawkeye turns to Duke and says, 'ever see anything like this before, babe?'

Duke responds, 'not from anyone beyond the age of eight years old'
