>I hope you didn't sense any hatred in any of my posts. If you did, please point them out to me so I can correct them. I have no hatred for others who do not believe the way I do. I do not endorse others religions and will not waiver in my belief that any religion that does not trust in the work of Christ is a false religion - but - please do not mistake that for hatred.

I think that's a general problem with people who are such "deep" believers like yourself, Howard.

I think of Pat Robertson, who has said many things that other hear as hateful words, and when called to task on them gets on the tube and with a nudge-nudge wink-wink "apologizes" if he hurt any body's feelings.
I think of Franklin Graham (Reverend Billy's son) who said that perhaps it was 'time to use any weapon at our disposal to wipe the scourge from the earth once and for all' at the end of the televised service at the national Cathedral immediately after the 9/11 attacks.

When you say you are comfortable in your belief that anyone who doesn't believe as you do is going to Hell for sure, do you not see how people take that as somewhat less than 'loving'? They know that to you Hell is the worst option of them all, yet you're telling them that's their destination. You expect glee in them at that news?

What's your personal position (love, hate, indifferent) towards homosexual people, Howard?

What's your personal position (love, hate or indifference) towards mixed race marriage or mixed religious marriages or same sex marriage, Howard?

What's your personal position (love, hate or indifference) towards Muslims or Buddhists or Shintoists or athiests, Howard.

How does your "do to your neighbour as you would for yourself" play out in the context of all of the above, Howard.

It sure sound likely that you have convinced yourself that you do not hate anybody. That doesn't add up to being a fact.

Jim
