On my website under Q&A, General is the WinAPI calls to play sounds without using an OLE control. Will the sound play if you double click it in Explorer? If not perhaps you have a corrupt .wav file.

>I have an OLE Bound Control on a form that plays a WAV file. The WAV file is stored in a General field. It plays but I get the error: OLE error code 0x80010105: the server threw an exception. I'm using VFP 3.0b on Win95. The MS knowledge base does have an article on this particular problem but they only say that it's a problem and they are working on it. I've also tried VFP 5 - get same error. My question: Does anyone know a workaround even if it's a third party package? I'll take as many ideas as possible.
