I looked at building a web app, installed IIS on a server (against my better judgement) and realized that I still needed a kicker application on the device to start the barcode read and launch the web app URL. I just decided that it was not worth the hassle when MCL will do what I need in a straight forward manner.

Thanks for the suggestion.

>>Hi all,

>>I am beginning a project using Windows CE.Net 4.2 running on a Symbol wireless data terminal (MC9060) and I have realized that there is no ODBC in the .NET CF. Short of expensive 3rd party tools and CALs, how are others dealing with this?

>>I had hoped to update a single field in a FoxPro free table as data was scanned. I am building an app in VB.NET to provide a UI on the PDT. Reading most of the night left me realizing that there is limited data access (SQL CE) from CE.NET and .NET CF. If I am wrong, or if there are work arounds, can someone shed some light? I have a hard time believing an enterprise tool has no data access.

>There is a few article which clearly explain this scenario.
