I haven't used MCL Collection as it is a Symbol specific product. The disadvantage of that is if you decide to move to a different hardware vendor (HHP, Intermec, etc.) then you have to retool.

All the best on your project.

Carl.

>I used Appforge for some PalmOS Symbol devices in the past, batch operations. Unfortunately, Crossfire does not support ODBC on CE.Net, only Mobile 2003. After I updated my original post I installed v3.15 of the MCL Collection and had the app that I needed running in a couple of hours. It's $1700 for the device files and wireless clients (5 units), but they've been around for a long time in the world of scanning. Even though I could have upgraded my VB Appforge for $500, I had already made a commitment to CE.Net equipment. I still wish I knew why such a basic building block as ODBC was left out of the .NET Compact Framework and what I consider fluff (media), was built in.
