Not quite sure of the last one. I've got a feeling it's a "but they'd be OK if they were to be like me, and if they'd only accept becoming like me they'd have it too". They're so convinced their particular faith is the best thing since sliced bread that they'd want to share it... well, have everyone buy their own slice of that brand.

I doubt there are many of us who are so pure as to never have had those feelings. The difference, of course, is that most of us don't take is so seriously that we feel a need to campaign for laws to hold others back. These people are a lot more selfish than most - not to mention that they are worried about something so trivial it beggars the imagination to try to understand it.

I think they do want everybody on their bandwagon - they feel better in a crowd of their own, and are somewhat uneasy with all that diversity and tolerance stuff.
