I agree with you completly. But I have been assigned the need to track these down in an inherited program. I thought that this could easily be trapped and quickly cleaned up without opening every file manually and find them. I corrected them and advised not to use this practice in the future - but either through resotres or what - they keep cropping up. I was want to trap for this and have a message come up that would advise a running the build in reindex program. My guess a "WIZ" at the company may be creating these interactively or something like that. There is no where in the code the creates this index.
