You don't get it. You're beliefs are very far from most others here. As well as most in the world.

Most people who do have some religious beliefs don't feel the need to try to force others to follow their beliefs. The vast majority of people don't go around trying to shove their beliefs down others throats.

I'm still waiting for an explanation from one of you morons to explain all the death and destruction that's occurred throughout history. All in the name of beliefs such as yours.

>>AT least I'll be in good company with Ghandi, Mother Theresa, a bunch of the popes, many friends of mine and we won't have to put up with your kind of rubbish ever more.

>I'm not sure what you're saying here with regards to Mother Theresa and a bunch of the Popes (I assume you mean the non-corrupt Popes, although that's another tangent). You seem to be implying that the Catholic belief regarding salvation is different from Howard's (and mine). I'm not Catholic, but much of my understanding of the Catholic faith comes from this book which my sister-in-law (who is Catholic) recommended to me:

>IAC, based on this book, the Catholics' beliefs on salvation are not different from mine and Howard's. In particular, here are some quotes from this book:
>
>"First of all, the Catholic Church teaches that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ." (p 17)
>
>"The Catholic Church does not teach and has never taught that a person may be 'saved' (reconciled to God and brought to eternal life with him) by anyone other than Jesus Christ. No one is saved by Buddha, Mohommed, or the leaders or gods of any other religions. Nor, might I add, do Catholics believe that anyone is saved by the Pope, Mary, the saints, or any other member of the church. Jesus alone is the savior of man..." (p 18)
>
>"Catholics believe that while God offers all men the grace to believe in him and do good (see I Tim 2:4), each person must freely choose to accept that gift." (p. 21)
>
>"Catholics sometimes assume that persons who are baptized, attend Mass, and receive the sacraments regularly have obviously accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior... Pastoral experience with U.S. Catholics shows that this is often not the case; many Catholics have not yet made a deliberate, adult decision to believe in Jesus Christ and give their lives fully to him." (p. 23, emphasis mine)
>
>I could go on, but you get the idea. The point I'm making here is what Howard has said does not conflict with basic Catholic beliefs, which you seem to be implying.

(On an infant's shirt): Already smarter than Bush
