Hi David,
I had a similar error message about spooling. My network is Novell. The problem disappeared when I got rid of the Microsoft Client and the NetBEUI protocol.
Not sure this helps in your case of course ... :(

>I am running VFP5.0 on a network with 2 windows NT workstations. Workstation2 has a shared Zebra printer configured with the windows NT print driver. Workstation1 runs all applications. One particular application runs in the backgroud(VFP5.0). This application prints to the shared printer on workstation2 using SET PRINTER TO \\WORKSTATION2\ZEBRA. This works fine until workstation2 has been cycled on/off, then when the background app tries to print I get ERROR ACCESSING PRINTER SPOOLER message. However, accessing the printer with the GUI on any application(VFP5.0) works fine and after I have printed to the shared printer with another application the background application prints correctly. Any ideas on why the background application cannot access the printer until a GUI is used???
