>>Try Good practice in using MSCOMM.OCX in VFP - Download #9636 and see if you can adapt it to your needs.>>

Thanks for the Link.. I try to check whether its applicable to what I need or I can get some technique.

My undestanding with the sample is to send/input data to a device e.g modem and not capture data from a device , e.g. capture data from PABX or weighing machine that goes thru serial port. Correct me if my undestanding to the sample code is wrong.

As of now, im trying to capture data from a PABX System (Telephone) where in I need to capture one line of data, e.g. call date, calling station number, last transfered station number, trunk line number, outgoing telephone number, outgoing call start time and outgoing call end time.

The PABX is connected to a PC's comm port and the code which I post throw an error as soon as the phone call ends. The error message I got was "OPERATOR/OPERAND TYPE MISMATCH", ignoring the error Captures the data to my Listbox. I did some changes and try it tommorow whether any changes on my program behaviour or not. Try to learn/analyze the Code Sample and implement/adapt on my code if the changes does not work...

Thanks again..
