Remember that there is a tradeoff. If you store EXE's on the workstation - you have a maintenance issue with updating to new versions. This may be a real or perceived problem - I don't know about your specfic issue.
When ever possible - always try to keep your EXE on the server. Having said that - if you are encountering performance problems - investigate what those problems actually are. Remember, performance is just a symptom of some underlying issue.
Just putting the EXE on the workstation - while it may *solve* your performance problem - might be masking a more serious issue underlying your app.
I am not saying that putting your EXE on the workstation is a bad thing. All I am suggesting is that you dig deep beneath the surface to fully understand why you need to move the app.
