This was the one which worked. I had previously recreated the view using CREATE VIEW MyView AS SELECT... at the command line, but now I realise that this might only have overwritten the existing definition. Deleting the view from the database completely, packing the .dbc, then recreating the view from scratch appears to have solved the problem.
