>They've been saying "no future of VFP", I do not think anyboddy in his right mind would discuss that the future of VFP is "doubtful", or put differently would _you_ bet the farm on it?

MS has not dispeled the "no future" rumor, although it's been dead since VFP5 came out.

>I know that VFP is great, you know that VFP is great, but nobody outside is convinced. Believe it or not, I got my go ahead from the local manager (owner of the Brinks agency), because he took my word for it. That is how doubtful the situation is. And MIS of Brinks at Dallas are PB freaks.

Jeez! In my experience, PB ois a helluva lot more unstable than VFP.
>If we cannot convince M$ to speak in a "clear and loud voice" ... the future of VFP will be ... doubtful. And it is 5 to midnight, no matter how much more versions will come out, how ADO, POPO, LOLO or FOFO VFP will be.

I agree with you, Marc....unfortunately. We need VFP showcased somehow, somewhere as a serious c/s front-end...I don't buy John Petersen's argument, which is to give up on VFP as a whole, move to VB and let VFP do second-tier stuff in a 3-tier world.
