Is there a way to determine how many jobs are in the local workstation print queue in Win95?

We're running a VFP5 app on Win95 workstations and a WinNT network. We do VERY heavy printing every night - as many as 10,000 pages sometimes - and each print job is 1-3 pages. If a printer goes offline for any reason, first the network queue fills up then the local workstation print queue fills up and VFP stops with unrecoverable errors. Usually we can't even clear the local queue, but must reboot.

We're hoping there is a call we can make to the local queue so we can stop SENDING jobs to it before we have problems.
