I worked a summer at my uncle's ranch. It was a sheep ranch. I will never forget it and never do it again. I love to eat lamb though and have no problems eating lamb since that time (other than the meat is more greasy). Sheep are stinky, mean, and will eat as much as you let them and will literally bloat and die. Part of the food chain.

>>>OK, I'll bite. What does this have to do with programming? Are you making some subtle derogatory comment? I'm kidding! ;)

>>Luckily, a guy walking his Sheltie (or whatever it was) was there and he unleashed his dog and the dog immediately got control of the sheep.

>My wife loves Sheep. One summer at my uncle’s ranch cured me of liking Sheep. They do make nice wool and shish kabob though!

>I was in charge of getting the herd into the pen at 4 PM each day. This was a 350 acre parcel by the way. First, I would use one of the dogs and we would get the Sheep pointed in the right direction. I had the corral gate (about 15 feet wide) open and as the Sheep would approach the gate they would break left, right and some would go into the corral. The dog would get those that broke right and I took on the task of those that headed left.

>Every day it was the same routine. The Sheep had us well trained. From this experience I formed an opinion about Sheep.

>God put no animal on the face of this earth with less brainpower than the Sheep. The story about Jesus tending a flock of 100 Sheep is interesting. One of the Sheep left the herd and Jesus left the 99 to find the one. My comment to that is, when Jesus returned with the lost Sheep, he would have had 99 missing from the flock! :)
