There is no need to install an email client on the machine. If you have access to an smtp server, you can send the email.
Another option would be just a table shared by the work machine and the user's machine. A look in the table at an interval could deliver the message to the client machine.
>I'm currently researching a new project where I need to send a message to a user when specific conditions exist. The preference is to use email, but I don't think that would work. I cannot require the customer to install their email client on the PC doing the work, nor setup an email address for the process. I've thought of doing a NET SEND. Any other ideas?
