Caqn anybody tell me what is the best way to copy a record into the same table. The onyl difference is that I have a candidate field named Labref. Therefore I need the ability to copy the current record i am on and then when saved I want an error message stating the key is in the system unless they change the labref prior to save. I was thinking of Scatter for current record then append blank and then gather but I dont know whether there is s better way!!
