Actually that is a stripped down version of what my full funtion is going to be. I eventually will be passing a parameter to the function that will be the module column from the payments table and depending upon the module
the select statement in the UDF will be selecting from up to 5 different
tables. Thats why I need to use a UDF in this case. Can you think of a better way I can do this if not to use a UDF ?
