>People will differ with his/her opinion about the incident this morning in the London subway. Rationalizations will include it was deserved. Anyone who wears a thick jacket in 70 degree weather deserves to be shot! Well, come to San Francisco and you will see thousands of people doing such a thing in the downtown area.

While not deserving to be shot, deserving of some supicion. Not only was it in the 70s but have you any idea how warm it gets down in the Tube in the Summer. Remember that some of them can be 100's feet underground and thus even warmer.

I'm disturbed by the fact that he was wrestled to the ground - then shot. Why didn't they cut out the middle-man and just shoot him standing up? I'd like to think he was reaching for a detonator when they did, but if they'd already downed the guy, surely they'd have frisked him and not just walked away. I await further info on this puzzling story.
