Alpha transparency is already there, the problem is that the Fox Team coded the GDI+ in such a way that it doesn't invalidate the image control's portion of the screen. Try resizing the form or otherwise triggering a WM_PAINT for the image control's area of the form and you'll see that the wake goes away.

As for the size, same thing there. The GDI+ C++ code that the Fox Team uses is flawed for transparent animated GIFs.
