VFP is an ideal candidate as a webserver. Specialy if you use it with a product like FOXWEB (www.foxweb.com). Foxweb allows you to run up to 9 open channels, and does take advantage of multi-processor hardware. VB would be a very poor choice with the number of records you're dealing with, and Oracle won't offer any better performance than VFP.
