Hi Randy,
Thanks for the great feedback :)
You may also want to look at using Blat to send your emails. Blat is a single, standalone 110K DLL that doesn't require registration like ActiveX controls. Blat is a free, open source product that is well supported and with regular upgrades. Blat can be distributed without any license restrictions. You can download the Blat DLL (or a EXE equivalent) and documentation at
www.blat.net.
Blat supports just about every SMTP feature you can think of including multiple attachments, HTML email (including embedded images), various forms of server authentication, different char sets, custom headers, alternative ports, etc. Very, very, very comprehensive in terms of features. A particularly nice feature of Blat is the ability to activate debug or superdebug diagnostic logs that can help you debug email problems.
There's sample Blat code on the Wiki, on Ed Leafe's Profox forums (search Ed's archives at
www.leafe.com) and an excellent, very recent example up on Craig Boyd's blog at
http://www.sweetpotatosoftware.com/SPSBlog/PermaLink,guid,6b86dea6-66ec-4f8f-a610-73dd6f896fb7.aspxThere's also a free Blat specific Yahoo newsgroup that is frequented by the current Blat developers (Chip and Tim). See the Blat home page for more info on how to signup.

> Boy, what an excellend NO COST solution to a problem. Thank you for your reply. BTW: I am using re-mail.dll, which is a product that I bought about 4 or 5 years ago when e-mailing from apps was beginning to become popular.
