Hi Richard,

I'm using CommandBars 3.501. This is an outstanding product and I highly recommend it. This product allows you to upgrade the professional appearance of your application and the vendor provides good support.

CommandBars replaces VFP's menu system and toolbar controls. Instead of using VFP's menu designer or class designer (toolbars), you use CommandBar's Property Editor to design your menus and toolbars. You can also build CommandBar menus and toolbars in code. Note: CommandBars does not provide a utility to convert your existing menu files to its format.

CommandBars is implemented as 2 visual class library files (VCX files) that you add to your project. These libraries add about 240K to your distributed application.

Andrew MacNeill reviewed this product in a recent issue of FoxPro Advisor. Andrew also has a voice narrated screenshow of how to use CommandBars in the VFP development environment. See the following:

There's a free evaluation version of CommandBars on ARG website. I would encourage you to invest the time to understand this product and use it in your applications.
