I have had a conceptual problem with this from the beginning. Here goes. . .

I have created a class with one container. The container has on it:

Editbox
Two command buttons, Addtext and Cancel.

I add this classlib to my form and addobject at the appropriate time. I want to be able to type text in the editbox and carry its contents to somewhere on the form calling it. The default property of the container is visible=.f. and when I instantiate the object, I initialize it with code that centers the container within the form. Then I try to make it visible so I can enter text and determine from the command buttons whether to continue or cancel. the click event of the addtext is to add the value of the editbox to a global variable and on we go. . .so it seems. Trouble is that when I execute the code, it makes the box visible and blows right by it.

How do I make it stop at the container level so I can execute the code in the container.

TIA,

Bill

You're only as good as your last
