There's something in our collective psyche that makes a great problem on almost every funeral - how to stop everybody from making the obvious jokes. It's probably the "oh it's not me in the coffin... good".
The original Latin proverb was "de mortuis nihil nisi bene" - about the dead nothing unless good. Doesn't mean you have to invent the good, just skip it if it's bad.
Stupidity is neither good nor bad per se, it's how it's used. And among the five billion people, there's always someone on the wrong end of the bell curve. We may just start taking bets on how high will this guy get on this year's Darwin awards.
