See this is where I think there are some misconceptions about America. I personally do not know one person who carries a gun. I only know one that owns any, and that is for hunting. And I'm in the South! As a whole, we are probably a bit more crass compared to other developed countries, but the whole cowboy thing is blown way out of proportion.
