this was a limit with 2k apparently, on 2k3 with no modifications this works perfectly.

A customer has lots of images for their parts. they are all jpg but i have also tried this with gif and bmp (256 colour and 24bit) to no avail. while connected through RD if you open an image in IE it looks fine. if you open it in our application it looks terrible, like it has been changed to hold 256 colours or less. some users connect to this application through a local network and those that do can see the images through our application perfectly! we are storing the file name of the image in a text field and then displaying this image on a form in an image control. has anyone any ideas on this as i am fairly stumped.
