As you know, Amazon is reported to be getting over 1/2 of their sales from items that aren't stocked in your local bookstores. EBay is generating a bulk of their transactions on items that aren't available at your local mall.

The internet creates opportunities for new products, new markets, new suppliers that wouldn't otherwise be accessible.
