I usually follow that approach, I move everything in an underlaying cursor used as source data and then I rebuild the (sub)tree

Yes, but I remember long ago I tried an approach similar to yours to move the node, and I had problems in the add() when using the Node.SelectedImage property, something like invalid pointer, or invalid index, can't remember
