Hejlsberg specifically pointed out that they are not taking ideas from FoxPro. The reporter asked him, and he answered that they are not heading this way, although they are working in different ways to provide C# with better intrinsic data-manipulation capabilities (not relational data, but data in general).

On the other hand, the VB team *is* taking ideas from the VFP team, although there is nothing public yet. Some prototypes will be presented in Spetember at the PDC.
