I agree. It actually looks good the first time. Then they'll be looking for ways to turn the thing off. Same as with those annoying websites that get you to an "intro" page made with Flash, instead of the main page with some real content.

My Splash screens just show a static logo and a little text. Nothing animated. Ever.
